Our Principles
Global’s 6 Pillars of Excellence
Global and our Sister company “Imaging the South” [www.imagingthesouth.com.au] have a thirteen year pedigree of the highest quality of service delivery within diagnostics. Such pedigree is based on a bedrock culture of excellence across our 6 Pillars consisting of:
1) Clinical Excellence:
We strive 24 hours a day to provide best practice across all clinical parameters. We do so with diligence and commitment that has stood us in good stead throughout our history. We marry clinical excellence to key performance indicator (KPI) assessment criteria against which we are prepared to be measured and assessed. We engage the finest healthcare professionals and integrate them across all sectors of the health economy. This ensures access to high quality, cost effective, best practice diagnostics - 24/7 around the clock, around the world.
We deliver this through focussing on excellence in delivering:
- a team of appropriately accredited, locally and internationally credentialed and externally audited diagnostic imaging and pathology specialists;
- comprehensive cover across all medical sub-disciplines;
- comprehensive cover across all diagnostic modalities;
- industry standard Clinical Governance Compliance;
- “ World's Best Practice” culture in terms of processes and protocols;
- a Clinical Directorate which is represented by each of the major specialties who contribute to the design of the patient workflow and pathways in relation to diagnostics;
- a fully funded Fellowship Training Programme;
- a proud pedigree of original Scientific Research and Development (R&D) Programme
2) Operational Excellence:
It is our deep belief that clinical excellence must be integrated with superb operational systems and processes in order to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the clinical opinion to the referralist. Global’s operational systems and processes are reliable, robust and scaleable.
Imaging the South the sister company of Global Diagnostics was the first company in Australia to receive ISO 9002 accreditation in August 1997. The International Customer Service Standard Certification followed in 1998.
Global Diagnostics Limited received ISO 17025 accreditation in July 2006.
Integral to our success has been the design, development and mplementation of our “Global Link” web-based RIS-PACS solution. The system is entirely HL7 and DICOM compliant and is completely NpfIT or “Connecting for Health” compatible, thus future-proofing the client for the current NHS RIS-PACS roll-out programme. The Global Link enables 24/7 real time access in a web-based desktop-to-desktop solution for our referralists from the hospital, their offices or their homes!
We deliver this through focussing on excellence in delivering:
- Informed diligent equipment procurement, implementation and management through a culture of " Best engines and Best engine drivers"
- Recruitment and nurturing of fully qualified, credentialed and competent Staffing across all steps of the Patient Journey (reception, technical, nursing, professional, administrative, I. T., marketing)
- Fully integrated patient centric systems and processes (see “ Circle of Success”)

3) Relationships:

We We recognize that people are our key asset and we have an enviable track record of investment in our people across all disciplines at all levels. It is our deep belief that investing in our people creates a level of loyalty, commitment and quality that is difficult to replicate while nurturing a culture of team-work & value-based motivation among our The Ground Zero Team (reception, nursing, technical, professional and administrative staff)
- External: External relationships so often focus only on the purchasers of an enterprises goods and services. Global has always had the philosophy of looking behind us to our key supply chain partners that day in and day out provide us high quality support. We place enormous value in the strategic partnerships we have created.
Clearly relationships with our patients, our referral lists and our corporate clients are integral to our success and are the life-blood of our sustained growth and longevity of success in the market.
We aspire to build strong lasting relationships built on mutual respect and partnership with our
- Private Medical Insurers
- The Public Payers (e.g. The NHS, The Health Services Executive, The National Treatment Procurement Fund (NTPF)
- Our Supply Chain Providers
4) Mentorship:
- Internal: Global Diagnostics invests heavily in mentorship and training programmes for all staff members be they clerical, Transcriptionists, technical, nursing or administrative. Formal structured programmes, of investing in people are a key pillar of our purpose. Clearly ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) and multi disciplinary team (MDT) meetings are a fundamental component of our service. All technical and professional staff members are obliged to take part.
- External: It is very important that we mentor our supply chain at all times so that they are aware of our growth strategies and our requirements in terms of scalability and scope of major projects. It is equally as imperative that we are able to mentor our referralists as to appropriate diagnostic algorithms so that the appropriate test is ordered in a timely fashion at the right time to diagnose pathology with speed and accuracy. We also mentor our corporate and public health service clients so ensure that our visions and goals are aligned and focused collectively.
5) Innovation & Technology:
Global and Imaging the South can put a big tick in the box of innovation and technological development throughout their combined history. For twelve years we have been a filmless and paperless enterprise by being a “first adopter” of RIS-PACS technology. We have found that this culture of technological innovation, whilst requiring heavy investment and significant commitment and resilience, has provided a unique selling point that has been seen by our referralists as a key investment in streamlined workflow and efficiencies.
We deliver this through focussing on excellence in delivering:

We invest the same degree of governance in our commercial systems and processes as we do in our clinical governance. We are however not a “bottom line” driven enterprise and whilst commercial goals are a realistic ambition of the enterprise we will make clinical, operational, relationship and mentorship decisions without overbearing commercial pressures. This has enabled us to pass the rewards that we create through our technological efficiencies directly through to our clients.” Imaging the South” in Australia has a track record of delivering 24/7 diagnostics services to 17 Heath Department of Western Australia hospital sites.
