Our Product:
Our Product is the provision of high quality 24/7 desk-top-to-desk top total diagnostic solutions around the clock around the world. We do this through a 128 bit encrypted HL7-DICOM compliant “Global – Link” RIS-PACS system.
We have 4 major product offerings:
1) Clinical Tele Radiology Reporting Expertise:
Global provides an extensive network of GMC / IMC Specialist Registered Radiologists who are available for 24/7 for remote tele-radiology reporting.
Global works closely with the local medical faculty in every community we serve in an inclusive spirit of cooperation and mutual synergy.
Global has built an international Virtual Reporting Team with expertise across a broad general radiology base as well as a sub-specialty faculty of secondary and tertiary level opinions in every sub-discipline across the breadth of diagnostics.
2) Information Management & Technical Design and Implementation Expertise:
Global has access to a significant international stable of:
- Radiographers
- Ultrasonographers
- Nuclear Medicine Technologists
- PET Radiographers
- Mammographers
- Technical staff are an integral component of the total patient journey and Global respects and values their contribution.
Information Management & Technology (IM&T):
Global is able to provide a total IM&T solution accommodating:
- ‘Choose and Book’
- ‘Choice of Scan’
- ‘Practice Based Commissioning
- All other UK Department of Health and Irish HSE initiatives
We are able to design and scale a system, which can range from a solo practitioner in remote Western Australia through to a tertiary Hospital or centre of excellence in any metropolitan city in the world.
The Global IM&T Team:
- Assess the topography of the department and design the optimum patient workflow and IT requirements.
- Procure and implement the key technologies and equipment required to bring a department into the digital filmless-paperless environment.
- Manage all the implementation & compliance testing.
- Design and supervise the change management and institute a “train-the-trainer culture”
- Provide ongoing compliance testing and KPI audit.
- 24/7 Help-desk and support
3) Ancillary Medical and Support Services:
Global can facilitate all ancillary links in the value chain of the patient journey;
Global has created both centralised and localised booking units which facilitates:
- all inbound scheduling
- quality assurance
- execution of the medical questionnaire
- appropriate documentation
- patient guidance and map directions
- report despatch
- billings
- Management report creation.
Through our strategic international partnership with Locumotion (www.locumotion.ie ) we are able to recruit, mobilise and install skilled technical and professional members of our coal-face workforceat relatively short notice to match HR capacity & expertise to the clinical demand of the Project at hand.
4) Structured Consulting:Dr Johnny Walker (Global CEO & Founder) has a thirteen year history of building Imaging the South and Global Diagnostics from scratch. In so doing, he has developed key methodology and strategic techniques, which are very simple and robust and have stood the test of time in some of the toughest waiting rooms in the world.
He is often called upon to provide “structured consulting” to radiology departments. In so doing, he provides the basic shape & performance structure for a department focusing the key personnel on tangible goals and creating sustainable value going forward.
Johnny was commissioned to assess and re-engineer the shape, structure and focus for Capio Diagnostics UK (www.capiodiagnostics.co.uk) in 2005.
Global was commissioned by Vhi Swiftcare (www.vhiswiftcare.ie) to design and implement the diagnostic services for the Swords Clinic in North County Dublin in September 2007 and for the opening of the VhiSwiftcare Cork Clinic in August 2008.
Global has been commissioned for Vista Primary Care Project in Naas, Co Kildare Dublin for the diagnostics delivery at the new Kildare County Clinic due to open in July 2008.

Dr Johnny Walker, CEO The Global Group
Johnny is both a medical entrepreneur and dual qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Physician. He is an Australian medical graduate and a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Johnny has a vast amount of clinical and business experience having founded ITS in 1996 and Global in 2000 and built the combined entity from scratch in 10 years. Johnny is based in London and heads up The Executive Management Team.

Dr Tom Marshall, Co-founder and Clinical Director
Tom qualified in medicine at Oxford University and Westminster Hospital, London and undertook his specialty Radiology training at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge where he first met and trained with Dr Johnny Walker. Tom serves on the Executive Committee of the British Skeletal Society of Radiologists and holds the appointment of Tutor in Radiology & Cross-sectional Anatomy at the University of East Anglia Medical School.

Professor Anthony Watkinson, Co-founder
After general surgical training Tony trained in Radiology in Bristol and in London. He performed GI and GU fellowships in Vancouver Canada and Interventional Fellowships at Guys\' and St Thomas\'s Hospitals in London. He is Honorary Professor of Radiology at the Peninsula Medical School. He is known both nationally and internationally within his field and currently holds the post of President of the British Society of Interventional Radiology.

Angela Whittington, CEO Imaging the South
Angela heads up the Australian operation. Angela has dual post graduate qualifications in management and accounting and spent 10 years at Rio Tinto working in strategic management and international marketing before joining the Global group. In 2002 she was Western Australia Rural Women of The Year.

Elaine Bailey, Business Development Officer
Elaine is a qualified radiographer who has recently spent several years working in management of PCT’s. Elaine is experienced in the needs of both diagnosticians and the buyers of diagnostic services and is uniquely able to provide strategic and operational input on the relationship with the buyers of Global’s services.

John Kennedy, Corporate Development Officer (Ireland)
John has more than ten years healthcare experience in Ireland having worked in a medical device distribution business and founded a point of care instrumentation company. John gained his MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit School of Business in Dublin and an MSc from Dublin City University.

Justin Bunter, General Manager (UK)
Justin has been General Manager (UK) since November 2007 having emigrated to the UK from Australia. Previously, Justin provided financial and management consulting services to Global\'s sister company - Imaging the South in Australia.
Justin is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in a diverse range of industries and organizations both in the UK and in Australia. Organisations worked for include Accenture, British Rail, Snap Printing and Ernst Young.
Justin\'s background is in financial management and consulting and has since broadened these skills into general management, commencing with starting his own consulting business in 1999. Since this time, Justin has operated in senior management roles in Law, Franchising and Health.
Justin has also contributed his time to volunteer organizations at both senior management and board levels.
Justin is married with three children.
